Since the demise of the national carrier many airlines have significantly increased services to Skopje in hope of attracting passengers to transit through their hub airports on route to other European destinations.

The downfall of MAT has not seen air fares decline.

I uzgred, MAT Macedonian Airlines still owes Jat over 10 million American dollars.
